This year, Transfiguration offers to all of its members specific scheduled times to work on self-reflection.  Both of these new programs offer adults the opportunity to reflect and unite in a safe, confidential community setting.

Crating a Rule of Life: Lenten Soup Supper at Beaver Creek Chapel with Father Brooks and Pastor Tim

Wednesday March 15, 22, 29 and April 5          5:30 – 7:00 p.m.        Beaver Creek Chapel

Using Stephen A. Macchia’s book, Crafting a Rule of Life, Father Brooks and Pastor Tim will walk us through each of the 12 themes (in a 4 week period) as a contemporary approach to St. Benedict’s Rule, using biblical and historical reflections on each theme.  These sessions are free and the soup supper is included.

A recent study published by Harvard stated that after a 75-year study, the finding is that the one secret to living a fulfilled and healthy life is good relationships. Love is the greatest predictor of happiness and fulfillment. The release of this study’s findings is timely for our Lenten study this year. Over the next 5 weeks, we will examine how we can each create our own Rule of Life, in order to strengthen our relationship with Christ.

A Rule of Life is a pattern of spiritual disciplines that provide intentional structure to your life. This pattern helps establish a rhythm to life in which our relationship with Christ is the central focus. This is a pattern, which can be established in many ways, with each person’s Rule of Life different from another.

As a community, the study will focus on several different aspects of our lives and provide ways in which we can refocus the components of life on our relationship with God.
