Father Brooks’ Message – This Week at Transfiguration January 12, 2017

Dear Parish Family and Friends,

Well, we all prayed for snow back in late November…..

Old Man Winter may be a’visiting our valley to cover us with his white blanket, but how much more does our Heavenly Father wish to wrap our lives with a blazing love to warm the coldest of human hearts!  And during this phenomenal church season of Epiphany, Sunday by Sunday we are given extraordinary insight and that blazing love of God made visible, manifest and realized through Jesus.

This Sunday we are treated to another amazing feast of beautiful scripture readings calling us all ever closer to our Lord.  I can’t wait to preach them as well as teach our adult Metamorphosis bible study, with lunch, immediately following our Edwards worship!  As this weekend is also MLK, we’ll pray together for the continuing inspiration of Doctor King, and so many others, to help us form a more perfect union.

In a world of confirmation marathon hearings, real news and fake news, hacks and leaks and emoluments, NFL playoffs without our beloved Broncos, and Pacific troughs and fronts, we need moments to sit and ponder the infinite richness of the deep wisdom of God made present in Jesus.  Our worship is one such moment.  Come join us this weekend at Vail and Edwards.  I look forward to seeing you there!

Warmly in the Lord,

Brookssignature
