All Souls Day 2025

All Souls day started in 998 AD.  It is a day of remembrance for friends and loved ones who have passed away. November 3rd is the day on which special prayers are offered for the souls of the faithful. This observance is an extension of All Saints’ Day. While All Saints’ is to remember all the saints, popular piety felt the need to distinguish between outstanding saints and those who are unknown in the wider fellowship of the church, especially family members and friends. On Monday, November 3rd, we will have a special service at the Edwards Interfaith Chapel, where we will recite the All Souls prayer.
