And what a wonderful night it was! With nearly 100 people of all ages, the Advent Celebration for 2017 was a great success! A lovely ham dinner with home-made side dishes, salad, and home made desserts made for a lovely start. Following dinner was a magnificent presentation by St. Nick (Fr. Mark Huggenvick) of his story – amazing!
The evening continued with ornament making and cookie decorating for children, prayer, socializing, and beautiful performances by the Dickens’ Carolers and our own Jan Govreau closed the evening with wonderful Christmas hymns.
Many thanks to everyone who volunteered and brought dishes to complete our supper, especially Mike Williams, Mary and Rebecca Cotton, and so many others! A huge thank you to Mother Emily Lukanich and Bonnie Marlette for making it all happen and bringing our community together.
