Seniors Meals Volunteers Needed

Dear friends of 4 Eagle Senior Care

Just a quick note to say “Thanks!” for your warm thoughts, prayers, help and support through the winter months, and to ask you to keep us in mind as you plan your summertime activities. With your help, we’re serving seniors and their families and friends with the love of God in their spiritual and physical needs.

Every Wednesday morning, our chef, Barbara Miller, along with other volunteers, prepares a delicious, healthy and hearty lunch for our local seniors. And, with each lunch we include a devotional prepared by me or another pastor or church leader. It has been a great joy to prepare and share a great lunch and share the great news of God’s love with seniors, their children, grandchildren and others throughout our valley.

Thank you to all who have so faithfully helped us prepare meals and/or deliver them. I feel that God is pleased that we are following the example of Jesus. He fed the multitudes and shared the word of God with them. You are following his example and continuing his labor of love for people in need.

Friends, Opportunity is Knocking! You can be a part of this family of friends and precious servants of the Lord, who are making a difference. We frequently receive feedback from the seniors letting us know they appreciate the devotionals, lunches and groceries. And many of our volunteers are seniors themselves who are making their lives count for God and good. We would love to have you join us, the more the merrier!

We are having a lot of fun as we laugh and talk together, eat together, share burdens and say a prayer together. Please consider joining us from time to time or even dedicating one Wednesday morning a month to serving God and his people. We are still meeting every Wednesday morning at the Edwards Chapel and Community Center at 32138 Highway 6.

The total time involved is 8:30 to 12:30, but most volunteers join us at 9:00 and finish up at 11:30 or earlier. As the summer months arrive, more of our volunteers are traveling and engaged in other activities, and so, your help, whether it be for an hour, two hours or the full four hours from start to finish, is greatly needed and appreciated.
