The Prayer Shawl Ministry began in July 2009 when a seasonal member from Houston, Texas brought this ministry to our church.  We meet every Monday, 9:30-11:30 a.m., at the Vail Chapel to knit or crochet. This is an interfaith ministry and includes seasonal and full time residents. Many participants have previous experience knitting or crocheting, but beginners are welcome to join us. As of March 1, 2010, we have knitted 64 shawls and distributed 60 to those who need the comfort of a prayer shawl.
