Edwards Pianist

The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in the Vail Valley is seeking a skilled and reliable pianist to support our Edwards Worship Service, held weekly at 10:00 AM on Sundays at the Edwards Interfaith Chapel.

This is a part-time, paid position. The selected candidate does not need to be affiliated with any religious tradition, but should be comfortable collaborating in a Christian worship setting.

Position Overview

The Edwards Worship Service Pianist provides musical accompaniment that enhances congregational worship, supporting hymns and other musical elements of the service in coordination with clergy and worship leaders.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide piano accompaniment for the weekly Sunday worship service at 10:00 AM

• Play hymns and other service music as selected by the clergy or music leadership

• Attend brief rehearsals or preparation time as needed prior to services

• Collaborate professionally with clergy, singers, and other musicians

• Maintain a consistent, punctual presence each Sunday

Qualifications

• Strong piano skills with the ability to accompany congregational singing

• Experience playing a variety of musical styles, particularly traditional and contemporary hymnody

• Ability to prepare music independently and adapt as needed

• Dependable, organized, and professional demeanor

• Prior experience in worship or performance settings preferred, but not required

• Compensation is commensurate with experience
