JOIN US FOR PENTECOST SUNDAY
at the Vail Interfaith Chapel
The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration warmly welcomes you to join us for worship each Sunday at either of our two services: 8:00 AM in Vail or 10:00 AM in Edwards.
Pentecost comes from a Jewish harvest festival called Shavuot. The apostles were celebrating this festival when the Holy Spirit descended on them. It sounded like a very strong wind, and it looked like tongues of fire. The apostles then found themselves speaking in foreign languages, inspired by the Holy Spirit. Inspired by this occurrence, we are asking for volunteers to help us read the Book of Acts – Chapter 2, in different languages. Please contact Father Brooks to volunteer.
